Our Story
Established in 1981, Davidson Fine Arts is a public magnet school in Richmond County School System serving over 700 students in grades 6-12. Students are admitted on selective criteria based on prior school record, good character, and an audition in five fine arts areas (music, dance, drama, art, and creative writing). Those attending are expected to explore all fine arts areas, but they may specialize in one or more fields during their high school years. Courses are tracked from introductory/exploratory to advanced levels in each area.

Special Programs
Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School has courses designated as Advanced Placement, Honors/Advanced, or College Preparatory. All academic courses are taught at the Honors/Gifted level and we offer many AP classes including Biology, Calculus AB, Chemistry, Drawing, English Language Arts and Composition, English Literature and Composition, Music Theory, Studio Art 2D & 3D, US History, World History, Psychology, Human Geography, PreCalculus, Computer Science Principles, and Art History. All juniors and seniors take AP English. Students can also take courses through Georgia Virtual School Program and Dual Enrollment. Students are required to take two years of a foreign language and can take a 3rd and a 4th year if possible. Typically students are only able to take two years because of the fine arts offerings and scheduling conflicts.
